Christian Alliance P.C. Lau International School (CAPCL), a non-profit making school wholly owned by Kowloon Tong Church of the Chinese Christian and Missionary Alliance, invites applications from potential applicants (Christian is highly preferred) to fill the following position:

Preparatory / Primary English (Homeroom) Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities

The Preparatory / Primary English (Homeroom) Teacher will provide instruction in three core subjects at a single grade level including English, Social Studies, and Science as well as four of the five specialty subjects such as Art, Bible, Health, Music and Physical Education. Preparatory / Primary English (Homeroom) Teacher are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues in grade level teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Education and Training
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Bachelor degree in the relevant subject areas with PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma of Education), or equivalent from an accredited university, preferably with Canadian education background
Minimum 10 weeks of a supervised student teaching placement completed at a recognized post-secondary institution
Evidence of valid certification as issued by the certificating authority in both the jurisdiction where the teacher was trained and the jurisdiction where the teacher last taught
Early childhood education / primary (homeroom) teacher training strongly preferred
Experience
Prior experience in teaching students in a kindergarten and primary school preferred
English Language Competency
Native proficiency in spoken and written English required

Effective Date of Employment

The starting date for this appointment is 15 August 2026. Initial contracts are normally 2 years in duration.
